We are Earthseed: Life which perceives itself Changing
Feminism, gender balance, futurism and the collective spirit are underlying currents I wanted to bring together. Composed of books and passages written between 1847 and 1990; a collection of handwritten cursive letters spanning 150 years; and a series of new ‘Covid Spirit Drawings’ made of homemade walnut ink and colored pencil.
Octavia Butler's novel Parable of the Sower -- "We are Earthseed: The Life that Perceives Itself Changing" is the corner stone for this 24-hour installation for In This Light, a virtual and offsite exhibition and award from McEvoy Arts, honoring the essential role artists play in daily life.
